Cosmopolitan- Pristine Premium Vodka

Pristine Cosmo Cosmopolitan premium vodka

Premium Vodka And A Luscious Mix

A trend-setting combination of Pristine Premium Vodka, Triple Sec, Cranberry juice, and freshly squeezed lime juice, this delicious mix is popular with all the cool kids.  A top “night-life” cocktail, highlighting the best tasting vodka on the market, a Pristine Cosmopolitan is the epitome of style, fashion, and high class.

Like many of the classic cocktails that lend themselves perfectly to Pristine’s crisp flavor and smooth texture, the Cosmopolitan (or Cosmo, for short) is the perfect example of how less can be more. With strong support from fresh, tart lime and cranberry juices, and sweet, citrusy Triple Sec, Pristine vodka is the star of the show in this palate pleasing drink.

The Cosmo, in some form or other, has been around for decades, with references to cocktails of a similar make up dating back to as early as the 1930’s. However, the Cosmo did not become the powerhouse it is today until the 1990’s when the characters on the insanely popular HBO series Sex and the City began ordering them on the regular. The popularity of the drink exploded from there.

History- or Herstory

Considering the overwhelming popularity of the Cosmopolitan among women, Cosmos are not your stereotypical “girly drink.”  In fact, while the fruit flavors are undeniably present, the highlight of this cocktail is definitely the slowly moving warmth and cleanness of the premium vodka you use. For this reason, the vodka used to craft this cocktail is of the utmost importance. Pristine vodka, with its purity and flavor, is the best vodka for this sort of cocktail.

An important thing to consider when crafting your Cosmopolitan—the Triple Sec can make a huge difference. Many people know of Triple Sec as a sort of cheap add in for well drinks. That’s not always the case. The term “triple sec”  refers to the distillation process of creating this popular orange liqueur. There are many such liqueurs that do not use the term, such as Cointreau and Grand Marnier. A generic Triple Sec will likely have a much different flavor than some of the name brand orange liqueurs. We suggest a higher quality orange liqueur for your tasting pleasure, but you may enjoy trying more than one until you find the taste you prefer. Our recipe utilizes Cointreau, but there are other intriguing brands out there. Check out our recipe for a subtle yet fruity mixed drink with vodka that will be sure to please!

  • 2 ounces of Pristine Vodka
  • 3/4 ounces of Cointreau
  • Splash of Cranberry juice
  • 1/2 ounce of Lime Juice.
  • Lemon twist for garnish

In a cocktail shaker, combine ice, Pristine, Cointreau, cranberry juice, and lime juice. Shake well, and then strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Our fresh and easy Cosmo is an easy mixed drink with vodka to have on hand for any gathering, small to large. Simply adjust the ingredients and serve in a chilled glass pitcher instead of a martini glass. Or just make one for yourself, sip, and enjoy, you go-getter!
