Class, sophistication, the good life; this small city has something to offer everyone. The summer months in particular pack an exciting punch, and Vodka in Saratoga, NY isn’t just for the upper crust– Pristine Premium Vodka can make you feel like your horse came in without even a wagering a bet.
And They’re Off!
The charming city of Saratoga Springs, NY is most famous for their racetrack. The official racing meet is only forty days long, and typically starts in late July, ending around Labor Day. That’s a pretty small window of time. But if you’re interested in horse racing, Saratoga is THE place to be.
There are plenty of ways to spend a day at the track. You might choose a seat in the clubhouse, or just a spot in the sun in one of the many picnic areas. Food, shops, giveaways and activities await once you’re in the gate.
More Than Just Horses
Of course, the famous racetrack is just one of many exciting things this city has to offer. If you like to try your luck year round, the Saratoga Casino Hotel offers one-stop-shop excitement. The casino offers over 1,700 table games and slots, so there is a lot to choose from. There’s also fine dining on site, and Vapor night club, which features great local and national bands, hot DJ’s and tons of other fun.
During the summer season, SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts Center) offers a wide range of performing arts. SPAC is the summer home of the New York City Ballet and the Philadelphia Orchestra (for whom the ampitheater was originally built). It’s also the home of Opera Saratoga. SPAC’s Live Nation concert series features national and international acts from every genre. Lawn seats are generally pretty inexpensive and provide a great spot for listening while interacting with friends and family. Many events at SPAC are free for children.
The Great Outdoors
Upstate New York is rich in natural beauty, and Saratoga Springs is no exception. SPAC is housed inside the Saratoga Spa State Park, which can easily take up a lazy day or two of your time. Whether or not you catch a show at SPAC there is also The Creekside Classroom Environmental Education Center, two scenic courses at Saratoga Spa State Park Golf, and beautiful natural areas to explore, including mineral springs, walking trails, and picnic areas. Two pools, the Victoria pool and the Peerless pool, offer places to cool down and relax for adults and children alike. The Saratoga Automobile Museum, Hall of Springs, the National Museum of Dance, and more are housed within the immense park. This place is well worth a visit.
Food, Friends, Nightlife
If you’re wondering where Vodka in Saratoga, NY comes into play, don’t worry– we’ve got that covered, too! There are literally hundreds of great places to eat and drink in Saratoga. From casual cuisine to fancy dress feasting, your tastebuds will surely thank you for an evening out in Saratoga.
One of our favorites is Osteria Danny, a moderately priced Italian-American restaurant with fabulous vegetarian and vegan options. How good is this place? Ask a local! They’ll tell you a meal here is better than some of the more “touristy” destinations. Osteria Danny has all of what we love most about a restaurant: warm and attentive staff, quality and flavor without costing a lot, and fresh, innovative menus that keep us on our toes! And of course, the folks here know their vodka and offer Pristine Vodka at their fabulous bar.
Another great stop, especially if you seek overnight accomodations, is the recently reimagined Adelphi Hotel, right on Broadway in downtown Saratoga. Situated in the middle of the action, there actually isn’t much of a reason to leave the Adelphi if you don’t want to, which makes it an ideal winter destination. With beautifully appointed and recently remodeled boutique rooms, several onsite restaurants, a complimentary shuttle, spa packages, and other events, the Adelphi has it all. They even have a “locals” rate for anyone looking for that perfect place for a stay-cation. Ask at the bar for a cocktail featuring Pristine vodka and enjoy all that the good life has to offer.
Taking the Good Stuff Home With You
It wouldn’t be a proper visit to anywhere without a souvenir or two. On your way out of town, stop by Purdy’s Discount Wine and Liquor for a bottle of Pristine Vodka. This store is a staple here in Saratoga Springs for over 55 years. Great selection, great prices, and great vodka.
